My wife and I have lived in Delray Beach for almost three years. We order from Shanghai, right across the street from us, three or four times a month, and it is always good. Call ahead, though, and ask how long it will take, and then add five minutes, as they get busy often. Our favorites are their wonton soup, spring rolls, steamed pork dumplings, chicken and garlic sauce, and broccoli with garlic sauce.
Great! Change the rating. It really has New York style Chinese food. Very tasty and very traditional. I order when I want Chinese food because it satisfies my appetite!!
They have really stepped up their game and have seen consistency- wonton soup is the only thing that could use a bit more flavor
Lots of really bad reviews from 5+ years ago but I've eaten here at least 5 times in the last year and love it. It's typical counter service take out and the food is on the money.
Food is authentic and tastes good. Not fancy, carry out. One or two tables to sit while you wait. I'd rather take home from a place where I enjoy the cooking. Otherwise I'll go upscale Asian. Good dim sum (dumplings.)

This place is old school Chinese but it always hits the spot. Their Wonton soup is great and a perfect order when you're feeling under the cover. The broccoli and chicken is always made right and the fried rice is top notch. Great Chinese food is in West Delray and it's this restaurant.
We have been here once before and it was just fair. It was almost 10 Pm and Shanghai was one of the only places still open. My wife just wanted Wonton Soup and I got the Kung Po Shrimp combination dinner which included Wonton Soup, Egg Roll, and Pork Fried Rice. The wonton soup was a full size while a lot of the other Chinese restaurants give you a small portion. The Kung Po Shrimp had mushrooms, peppers, baby corn, and celery in a flavorful brown sauce. Definitely will return.
Advertised as New York Style Chinese food, which usually means Hong Kong Style, but the place is named Shanghai. Mu Shu Vegetable was like a warm comfortable salad wrapped in a thin wrapper with very flavorful sauce. This is a reason to come back. The eggplant dish was also good but came with a small rice container. Overall excellent. And open at 9 pm!
Their food is the closest you're going to get to New York Chinese food they're great and respectful And courteous
